Each September, we coordinate activity in Clerkenwell for the London Design Festival. Now in its fourth year Clerkenwell Design Quarter brings together all the multi-disciplinary design components of this historical area: from showrooms and pop-ups to restaurants and bars. Walks, talks and workshops alongside new product launches and exhibitions, make Clerkenwell the distinct district it has become.
This year’s CDQ will include explorations into minimalism and micro-dwelling at Viaduct; talks on the future of design and craft at The Goldsmiths’ Centre, and on restaurant design at Albion Clerkenwell; a showcase of emerging talent at Craft Central; a stunning Bocci lighting installation the the Barbican; new furniture launches (and ice cream!) at MARK Product and Morgan; and the grand opening of Clerkenwell’s latest showroom Cosentino City London to mention but a few.
In addition to the showroom events and exhibitions, visitors to CDQ can take advantage of special food and drink offers, including 10% off at Albion Clerkenwell, Bench Cafe at The Goldsmiths’ Centre, and Borough Wines Exmouth Market (who will also be hosting whisky tastings and launching new glassware by Denver & Liely). Full details of all the offers and how to redeem them can be found on the CDQ website.
