We braved the rain and headed to the Design Museum to celebrate the nominations for the Brit Insurance Designs of the Year. This year’s nominations cover a broad field, encompassing architecture, fashion, furniture, technology, graphics, and transport, and is a celebration of creative innovation. We especially loved some of the more simple solutions to everyday problems like the Folding Plug by Min-Kyu Choi; PlantLock by the Front Yard Company and the topical Beehaus by Omlet. High-tech caught our eye in the form of the fabric-skinned GINA Light Visionary Model car by BMW, and who wouldn’t love Panda Eyes, by Jason Bruges Studio for WWF?
