Juxtaposing contemporary design and old palatial interiors never fails to create an impact, and Rossana Orlandi’s Untold exhibition at the Museo Bagatti Valsecchi was a gem of a show. Korean designer Wonmin Park’s subtly coloured resin furniture* shone out from amongst suits of armour in the medieval weaponry gallery; Marcel Wanders Delft Blue Tattooed Hands were hauntingly accompanied by his film Fragile Fingers on a Grand Piano. Jacopo Foggini created a light installation for Vionnet in their signature shade of blue, and presented his striking methacrylate Brilli chandeliers. Studio Formasfantasma collaborated with Lobmeyr to create a beautifully delicate tableware concept in crystal, copper and charcoal based on the principles of purifying water.
*Wonmin Park’s Haze collection will be exhibited at Viaduct from 15-31 May 2014.
