The winter edition of Denmark’s newest design show, northmodern, continued to build on the show’s growing reputation for presenting well-edited Northern European design from new and established individual makers, brands and manufacturers.
Held in the Bella Center, Copenhagen’s purpose-built exhibition venue, the show is separated into focus areas. Special Projects featured impressive installations from Georg Jensen, Boform, Chmara.Rosinke, Frandsen Projects and Roomstore amongst others; Room celebrated furniture, and Slow Living focused on textiles, soft furnishing and accessories. The Bella Center’s glass-roofed Crystal Hall saw the return of 1.618 with a major display of Sustainable Luxury products, as well as a Handmade section, with live events and installations from Tortus Copenhagen, Den Danske Keramik Fabrik, Iben Høj and Backhaus & Brown.
Our invited guests from House & Garden, Wallpaper*, Dezeen, Blueprint, Hole & Corner, Hannah in the House, Relay Design, and John Lewis all discovered brands new to them, so expect to see more from Nordic brands in 2016!
