PRISM by Keiichi Matsuda

By EM on September 14, 2012 in Industry Publicity

London Design Festival 2012

Like a giant suspended iceberg set into the V&A’s uppermost cupola, the PRISM is lit up like a lantern, displaying live data flows from around London via internal projectors. Graphics indicating wind speed, Boris bike availability and even energy use at No. 10 Downing Street are all projected onto the handmade washi paper surface of the prism.

A further reward for visitors is stage two of the PRISM guided tour – another spiral staircase leads you out onto to terrace of the Cupola itself, for incredible unseen 360º views of London – the Cupola is not usually open to the public.
